    Bosch advises that their SR 1318 X starter IS the correct replacement for this application even though it may look completely different from the one on the car. Please compare mounting bolt configuration, mounting flange dimensions, and electrical connections with the old starter for suitability before installation. Most techs that have done this have found no difficulties in using SR 1318 X in place of the original starter.
